day thirteen.

Today I tucked my dress into some casual boyfriend jeans. I also tucked the sleeve of the dress in so its a one sleeved dress but non of the chiffon.
Today I was going to the cinema, so bit casual.

Jeans - Newlook
Blazer - Marks and Spencer

Shoes - KG

Necklaces - All vintage

Belt - Daddy's wardrobe, what a babe.

day eleven.

I was going for a drink, wasn't sure how to wear my dress today as I wanted to wear it more or less how it came.
So all I did today was sweep the sleeve across and tuck it into the top of the dress and the opposite underarm.

Headband - Primark

Belt - Asda
Bracelets - Vintage
Rings - Dorethy Perkins

The sweep effect.

Worn Boots as seen before - Matalan

I added a coat just before I left to go out

Coat - Marks and Spencer

day ten.

Today I took the bottom of the sleeve and tucked it into the top, so it halved in length, more casual.
I then added a skirt under my dress and made my dress a bit shorter to look like a top.

Skirt - H&M

Shoes - Dorethy Perkins

Bracelet is a necklace wrapped around the wrist - Newlook

Bag - Primark

day nine.

I decided to wear my dress upside down, so the bottom the the dress looks like I'm wearing a strapless dress.
I like that the dress can be worn in many different ways.
This was for an evening meal, hence the little bit more dressed up feel.

As my dress is upside down, the sleeve was sitting on my hip.
I decided to scrunch the sleeve up to create a ruffled detail on the hip.

Scarf - Vintage from Motel

Shoes - Kurt Geiger

Hair band - Accessorize

day eight.

I wanted to change the dress completely today, so I pulled it down to my hips and wore it as a long skirt.
Wasn't the most practical as to keep it in position was a bit tricky, but nothing some safety pins wont fix.
I really like my dress at this length. Felt quite conservative.

Top - Matthew Williamson
Shoes - Zara

day seven.

Today was miserable and wet but I still decided to brace it and get out of the flat.
I have tucked the bottom of my dresses sleeve into the top and made it half the size.
So now its a much shorter sleeve, easy to handle when wearing layers over the top.

Hat - Marks and Spencer
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Leggings - H&M
Socks - Topshop
Boots - Matalan

Belt - Asda

Left hand
Bracelets and ring combo - Topshop

Right hand
Ring - Dorothy Perkins

Saturday, 15 January 2011

day six.

Tonight I was going out but it was freezing so I wanted to wear a long sleeve top.
My dress is underneath so it just looks like I'm wearing a skirt.

Top - Primark
Belt - Vintage
Socks - Topshop
Shoes - Office, in Topshop

Left hand
Ring - Dorothy Perkins

Right hand
Ring - Charity shop

day five.

Had to go into uni today and meet with the 3rd years.
As I needed to wear my dress thought I would add layers to it as it's quite short, so not really suitable for days at university.
To fix this I wore a longer skirt over the top, so it looked like a top and not a dress.

Skirt - New Look
Cardigan - Avant Garde
Bag - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Shoes and tights - as seen before

Thursday, 13 January 2011

day four.

Today the look I wanted to achieve was one I could wear at night, but not too dressy.
I tucked my LBD into some shorts, to get it to look like a top.
I like this look as it breaks up the dress and the colour.

Shorts - Primark
Socks - Zara
Necklaces - Vintage
Headband - Homemade ribbon

Wednesday, 12 January 2011

day three.

Today I accessorised casual for a shopping trip.
I took the long chiffon sleeve and tucked it into the dress.
This created a one sided strap dress instead of the sleeve effect the dress comes with.

Belt - Vintage
Scarf - Vintage
Denim jacket - Topshop
Pumps - New look

Necklaces - Mothers cupboard .... steal!
I'm really enjoying this project.

Tuesday, 11 January 2011

Day two.

It's the second day into my project so I thought I would add a few things but nothing too extravagant.

Russian hat - charity shop
Boots - Peacocks
Black tights - New look
All in black with a touch of red lips.
One colour code, bam.

Monday, 10 January 2011

Day one.

This is my little black dress.
New look £16.99.
Body material is velvet, sleeve is pleated chiffon.
As this is day one I thought I would leave it plain and simple.
So I wore it exactly like this.
No alterations, No additions, Nothing.

The Uniform Project

The Uniform Project is our most recent project lasting between the 10th and the 23rd or January. This entails that we take part in our own mini version of what Sheena Matheikan did but for a much shorter period of time, link below.

http://www.theuniformproject.com/#!about

Our brief was to make our own blog, then update it everyday between the 10th-23rd of January with a picture of how we made our outfit different from day to day. In our brief it said ..

"You will take photos of yourself LOOKING DIFFERENT every day and place them on your blog."

It's a project all about styling, we couldn't change the dress in any way that meant sewing and stitching, only accessories and what we add or takeaway from the outfit. We got given the option of either wearing a little black dress for this or a check shirt, I choose the little black dress as I thought I could do more with that.

Starting out

Hello fello bloggers

This is my first time on the blogging scene, I've always said "I'll get round to it!" But of course, I never have. So, when over the Christmas break my Fashion Design tutors gave me the brief for our next project, I was immediately exited. This was the push I needed to get motivated and finally start my own blog.

So here I am, starting out my first blog at the age of 19, in my first year of fashion design, in the big city of Bristol, studying at the widely known University of the west of England.

The new project was to start my blog, and then record the "The Uniform project" in my blog. So this is what my blog is all about .... for now. x
